WASHINGTON...Mary Maxine Dingledine, 82, of Washington, passed away at 12:16 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at her home.
Maxine was born on August 27, 1928 in Mt. Sterling, Illinois to Ira and Mary Josephine Potter Keith. She married Wayne “Butch” Dingledine on September 5, 1946 in Peoria. Butch survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carol (widow of Brent) Donecker and Joyce (Dingledine) Pacey, both of Washington; four sons, Dennis (Connie) Dingledine, David (Ellen) Dingledine, Dean (Denise) Dingledine and Donald Dingledine, all of Washington; one sister, Louise Steiner of Morton; two brothers, Charles (Donna) Waughop of Wisconsin and Lee Keith of Port Allen, Louisiana; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Michelle Donecker; one brother, Harold Keith and one sister, Ruth Kerr.
Maxine had worked as a clerk at Ben Franklin store in Washington then later as a clerk and manager for the Witzigs Shoe Store in Washington.
She truly enjoyed going to Curves for many years and loved the girls that she met there, as well as keeping in touch with the girls from Ben Franklin that she had worked with over the years.
Maxine was a very loving and caring grandmother and great grandmother, who idolized her family and loved spending time with each one of them.
She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Mennonite Church in Washington, where funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Sistrunk officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington. Visitation for Maxine will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home and from 10 to 10:45 on Friday at the church.
Memorials for Maxine may be made to either her church or Shriner’s Hospital in Chicago.
