Victorino Soares Jr., age 75, of Fall River passed away June 7, 2011 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Costa) Soares of 49 years. Born in Ponta Garça, Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Victorino & Conceicão (Faria) Soares. Victorino worked as a Machine Operator for Globe Mfg. and previously Plymouth Rubber Co. He was an avid bowler with the Durfee Bowling League, a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church, enjoyed fishing, card playing, and spending time with his family.
Victorino was the loving father of Beverly Tremblay and her husband Michael, Brenda & Linda Soares all of Fall River; the brother of Joseph, Antone, & John Soares all of Fall River, and the late Virginio Soares and Linda Soares Pelletier; the uncle of many nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours FRIDAY 4:00-8:00 P.M.
