Rita R. (Pliner) Haggerty, 76, of Norton passed away surrounded by her adoring family, in the comfort of her home, after a long illness, on Monday June 6, 2011. She was the loving wife of Joseph W. Haggerty.
Born in Boston, MA 0n August 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sophie (Janock) Pliner.
In addition to her loving husband she is survived by her beloved children Ramona Dudley of Norton, Michael Cyr of Randolph, Cindy Guerra of Milton and the late Roger Cyr. She is also survived by her numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday June 10th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday June 9th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
