Nancy Rexanne McWhorter, 59, of Clarksville, TN, died Sunday June 5, 2011 at her residence.
She was born September 11, 1951 in Clarksville, daughter of the late Rex Woodrow Sleigh and Dalton Hall Sleigh.
Nancy was a teacher with the Clarksville Montgomery County School System and the Ft. Campbell School System for thirty nine years. She received a Masters Degree from Austin Peay State University and a Masters Degree from Trevecca Nazarene University.
She was a member of the National Education Association and First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
Survivors include her husband Dwight McWhorter; son Chad McWhorter, Memphis, TN; daughter, Charlsie Wiseman (Tarpon) Clarksville; two sisters, Carol Brown and Patricia Red, both of Clarksville and two grandchildren; Rex and Russ Wiseman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Neal- Tarpley-Parchman Chapel.
Dr. Roger Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Chad McWhorter, Michael Red, Jr., Nathan Red, Luke Red, Daniel Brown, Justin Red, Robert Brewer, Bradley Smith, David Downey, and Marshall Biter.
