Robert Carl Dickey, Jr., 38, of Tifton died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Wayne Driskell will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. Members of the Gold Leaf Officials Association will serve as honorary escort. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Dickey was born on June 12, 1972 in Orange Park, Florida and was the son of Robert Carl Dickey, Sr. of Tifton and the late Janet Roberts Dickey. He was a kidney cancer survivor and enjoyed refereeing football.
In addition to his father, Mr. Dickey is survived by three brothers, Terry Roberts Jr., Shaun Dickey and Kevin Roberts, all of Tifton; and three sisters, Dana Edmondson, Marion Singletary and Susan Roberts, all of Tifton.
