P>New Bedford– Mildred J.(Bonneau) Desrochers, age 84, died Sunday, June 5th, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. Desrochers. She is survived by 2 daughters Jeanne Rapoza and her husband Michael of Dartmouth Diane Goldblatt and former husband Robert, 4 grandchildren Benjamin, Matthew, Richard and Melissa Goldblatt, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Desrochers was a sister of the late William Ponte, Francis Ponte, Alsedar Bonneau Jr. and Raymond Bonneau.
Mrs. Desrochers was the daughter of Alsedar and Belmira (Silveira) Bonneau Sr. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. Mildred worked as a winder at the Acushnet Co. golf ball division. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of the Holy Name Seniors. She loved her family, friends, bingo and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Desrocher Funeral from the Perry Funeral Home Wednesday at. 9 AM Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM, Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM . Relatives and friends are invited Burial will be privatley at the family’s convenience.
