Dr. Joseph Grisanzio of Lakeville, age 61, born in Mola di Bari, Italy passed away after a sudden and brief illness while on vacation, May 25 in Bari, Italy, With his family by his side. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Karen (Singelais) Grisanzio of Lakeville and his mother Pasqua Grisanzio of Mola di Bari, Italy, his daughter, Daria Grisanzio of Waltham, MA, his son Francesco Grisanzio of NY, his sister Ivana del Papa of Costa Rica, and her husband Tony. He Graduated from Columbia University in 1971 and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy in 1978. He was on multiple boards including Plymouth District Medical Society and the MA Medical Society’s Executive Committee and Advisory Board of “Vital Signs” publication. He has been in practice with his dear friend George Chilazi of Southeast Cardiology for 30 years along with his affiliation with Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, reading, woodworking, cooking, and being a wine connoisseur. Above all he cherished his time with his family and many close friends.. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Taunton on Saturday, June 11 at 10am. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
