Obituary

Francis J. Donahue, 101, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at the Colony House in Abington on Friday June 3. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Crawford) Donahue. He was born in Worcester and educated in South Boston schools. Mr. Donahue was a Sergeant in the 73rd Fighter Squadron Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a member of Local 369 Utility Workers Union in Boston and worked for Boston Edison as an overhead investigator for 45 years before retiring in 1974. In his free time Mr. Donahue enjoyed playing golf at Ponkapoag Golf Course in Canton.
Mr. Donahue is survived by his children Francis J. Donahue, Jr. of Abington and Helen M. Laitein of FL. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 9 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
