Obituary

NEW BEDFORD…James J. DuBois, 91, of New Bedford died Friday, January 30, 2004 after a brief illness at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Ilene (Ramsbottom) Dubois. Born in New Bedford, son of the late Wilbram and Marie (Morin) DuBois he had lived in New Bedford since 1982.

He was the former owner and operator of New Bedford Dispatch Co. until his retirement. He had also been employed by the Town’s of Westport and Falmouth as a police officer and was a security officer at Otis Air Force Base. Mr. DuBois served in the United States National Guard.

He was a member of the Noquochoke Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Westport as well as the Order of the Eastern Star, Goodwill Chapter #123 of Falmouth. He was also a member of the Massachusetts Senior Action Council.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 1 sister: Louise Simoes of Texas; several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Rosabelle Bellenoit.

At the request of the family services will be private.
