Mariam R. (Sarkisian) Dostoomian, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Thursday, June 2 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 60 years of Khacher S. Dostoomian. Born in South Boston, she was a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 54 years. Mrs. Dostoomian was a homemaker. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, playing cards with her lifelong friends, going out for breakfast and especially caring for her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dostoomian is survived by her children, Dorothy Harmon and her husband Larry, James (Hagop) Dostoomian and his wife Judy, and Laura R. Murphy and her husband Bill all of Stoughton, as well as her brother, Sarkis Sarkisian of Natick. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, June 6 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 3-6 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
