Florham Park, NJ – Elva (Johnson) LeBlond, 95, of Florham Park, NJ died on Thursday, June 2nd in the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Facility.
Her husband of 48 years J. Alfred LeBlond died in 1996. She is survived by her son Wayne LeBlond of Mendham, NJ; her grandchildren Brian LeBlond of Amesbury, MA and Karen LeBlond Dillow of New Albany, IN; 2 great grandchildren Lucy and William LeBlond and many nephews and nieces.
Elva was born in Millbury, MA daughter of the late John and Amanda (Ekberg) Johnson and was the youngest of 11 children. She graduated from both Millbury High School and Becker Junior College and worked as a secretary at the Norton Company and a bookkeeper at the William and Bridges Company. After moving to New Jersey in 1998 she served as a volunteer with FISH, obtaining rides for senior citizens in the local community.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6th at 10:30 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a hospice program in your local area.
