Maureen P. Cauley, 68, of Derry, NH died Wednesday June 1, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was born on May 21, 1943 in Cambridge, MA, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (O’Donnell) Duffy. Mrs. Cauley was a resident of Derry for 11 years, formerly living in Somerville, MA. She worked for over 20 years as an executive secretary at Boston University Medical School. Mrs. Cauley was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edward L. Cauley, Derry, three daughters, Marybeth Bruno, Derry, Patricia Sargent, Worcester, MA, Eileen Gerace, Marblehead, MA, one son, William Cauley, Barrington, RI, six grandchildren, one sister, Elizabeth Kniskern, Layetteville, PA, many nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours were held on Monday June 6, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday June 7th at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
