Frederick D. Hyde, II 66 years of Brockton and Pike, NH died Saturday January 31, 2004 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton after a brief illness. He was the husband of Kathleen (Murphy) Hyde.Born in Brockton a son of the late Frederick and Viola (Provencher) Hyde, he attended area schools and was a graduate of Coyle High School. Upon graduation Mr. Hyde served three years in the United States Navy.
Mr. Hyde spent his working life in business management. In the recent past, Fred’s hobby and business interest has been in the field of antiques and flea markets.
An avid community advocate, Fred was a bingo caller at the Sacred Heart Church and a fundraiser for “Pike Days” annual event. A well-known raconteur, he would delight audiences with his portrayals of several endearing characters notably “Mr. Stubby”, Amtrack the Magnificent” and Santa Claus. Fred was also well known by his friends as a devotee of dog racing. Services as above
