Mr. David A. Melling, 68, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, formerly of Lawrence, passed away on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
He was born on July 7th, 1942 in Manchester, Connecticut, to the late Alfred and Helen (Baker) Melling.
Mr. Melling was educated in the Connecticut and Andover Schools.
He worked for Tire Rubber in Andover for some 20 to 25 years and later worked as a Security Guard for Reliable Security in Salem, NH.
According to David's family he enjoyed Cars, loved racing cars and old cars and he would light up when he was around them. His biggest love of life was his family, he loved to spend time at family gatherings and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.
Husband of the late Josephine M. Melling who passed away in 2004.
His family members include his one daughter Karen and her husband Larry Wood of Atkinson, N.H. and one son David A. Melling, Jr. and his wife Tara of Windham, NH
His three grandchildren Jason Wood, Dakota Melling and Dustin Melling as well as several nieces and nephews.

His funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6th, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA.
Burial will take place in the Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
