Ruth Frances (Gould) Cobb, 97, of Walpole died May 31 in the Harrington House in Walpole. She was the wife of the late LeRoy N. Cobb.
Born in Boston, May 17, 1914, the daughter of the late Fred E. Gould and his wife Ruth (MacDonald) Gould, Mrs. Cobb was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Ruth attended Walpole schools and had been a waitress at the Lord Fox Restaurant in Foxboro. She had also worked at Kendall Mills in Walpole, the Toby Dueshman Company in Norwood and the D&W Jewelry Company in Norwood and Braintree.
She is survived by her son LeRoy N. Cobb, Jr. of Centerville and 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Florence.
Her family would like to thank all the staff at the Harrington House in Walpole for their great care and attention to Ruth. There aren’t enough accolades for the whole facility, they always were there greeting at the entrance. Thanks to the great group of nurses and aides and the administrators. Thank you also to the Walpole Housing Authority - office personal and maintenance people.
Services will be private with burial in Knollwood Park in Canton.
