Samantha J. Cote, 18, of Rocco Dr., Blackstone, died Sunday in Mobile, Alabama from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Worcester she was the beloved daughter of Neal R. and Jennifer M. (Thomas) Cote. She was a resident of Blackstone for most of her life.
Samantha attended Blackstone schools and was a graduate of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School, Class of 2010. She had completed her freshman year at Worcester State College and aspired to become a nurse. Samantha was employed at Stop & Shop stores in Bellingham and Worcester for the past several years.
Samantha loved to express her creative and artistic inclinations. Among the many activities and interests she pursued were photography, gymnastics, dancing, music, and drawing.
Samantha will be remembered as an outgoing and gregarious person who made friends easily. She was the pinpoint of planning activities among her wide network of friends.
Her wonderful personality, sense of humor, zest for life, and love for her family and friends will remain with all those who were privileged to know her.
In addition to her parents, Samantha is survived by her sister Danielle Cote, her paternal grandparents Rene and Loraine Cote of Woonsocket, and her maternal grandparents James and Jane Thomas of Bellingham. She is also survived by her extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are requested to please proceed directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday from 3-7 pm in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
