WORCESTER-Marjorie G. (Hunter) Blaisdell, 83, of 1183 Main Street, formerly of East Brookfield, died Saturday, January 31st in UMass Memorial Medical Center. Her husband of 49 years Harry R. Blaisdell died in 1987. She leaves her son Harry R. Blaisdell, Jr. of East Brookfield, and her daughter Rev. Eleanor B. Kraner of Spencer, 6 grandchildren Debra Ritzer of Leicester, David Blaisdell of East Brookfield, Kimberly Germain of Holden, Rachel Gillette of Wareham, Ellen Sawyer of Spencer and Gretchen Kraner of Los Angeles, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Wesley and Philip Hunter.
She was born in Spencer the daughter of Lloyd B. and Sadie (Fairbrother) Hunter and moved to East Brookfield in 1952. Mrs. Blaisdell was a graduate of David Prouty High, a member of the East Brookfield Baptist Church and enjoyed swimming, quilting and sharing her hospitality with family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 3rd at 11:00 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 22nd at 2:00 PM in Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis Street. There are no calling hours.
