Lillian (Doucette) Gallivan 97 of Needham formerly of Newton Centre died on Saturday January 31st at Wingate at Needham. Born in Halifax Nova Scotia, Lillian came to the Boston area in 1924 and had been a resident of Newton Centre for over 70 years. Lillian was a sale clerk for SS Pierce Stores in Newton Centre and Chestnut Hill. Lillian was the sister of Evelyn McKenna of Newton Centre and the late Mary LeBlanc and Theresa Doucette. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Tuesday Feb 3rd at 9:00 Am followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church Newton Centre at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9-9:45 Am prior to the funeral mass. Interment services will take place at the Newton Cemetery.
