Obituary

Kenneth J. Maccarone, 56, of Paradise Lane, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of Karen A. (Monahan) Maccarone. They were married for 35 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Master Sgt. Louis E. “Mac” and Irene C. “Dolly” (Emond Maccarone. He was a lifelong Johnston resident.

Mr. Maccarone was owner and operator of Kenco Metals in Johnston and had previously worked for Englehard Corp. in Plainville, MA. He was an Army veteran and served in the 21st Infantry. He was a member of Forestdale VFW Post 6342 and former member of Smithfield Elks BPOE 2359.

He is also survived by his children, Kristy L. Pistacchio, Kisha L. Maccarone and Kenneth L. Maccarone, all of Johnston; 3 grandchildren, Eric J. Dummer, Enzo V. Pistacchio and Emma T. Loffredo; his siblings, Patricia A. Radcliffe of Molino, FL, Nancy J. Conti of Johnston and David A. Maccarone of Tampa, FL. He was the brother of the late Louis E. Maccarone.

His Funeral will be Thursdy at 11am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Wednesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Pediatric Cancer Fund, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box H, Providence, RI 02901-1697.
