Conrad G. “Connie” Gamache, 80, of Westport died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at home, surrounded by his family. He was husband of the late Donna A. (Pettey) Gamache.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Adrien C. and Isella (Valle) Gamache, he had lived in Westport for the past 40 years. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to retirement, he was a salesman for Sears and Roebuck. He was a member of the V.F.W. Ouellette Post #8502 of Westport. Mr. Gamache was avid bowler and sports enthusiast, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include 2 sons: Norman Gamache of Fall River and Michael C. Gamache of Westport; 4 daughters: Gretchen A. Roussin of Farmington, NH, Corinne Manchester of Fall River, Monique Ponte of TX and Michelle I. Matti of Fall River; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; in-laws: Patricia Roberts, Richard Manchester, George Drost and Lisa Jean Gamache; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
