Cecil Ashley Griffin, age 31, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 28, 2011 following a brief illness. Mr. Griffin was a farmer in Ambrose, GA. He was born on November 17, 1979 in Douglas, GA. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. George A. Griffin and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cox. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Bushnel Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in the New Hope Church Cemetery. Survivors include: daughters: Tierany Gibbons, Katie Griffin and Bree Griffin all of Ambrose, GA; son: Ashton Griffin, Ambrose, GA; stepson: Terry O’Neal, Ambrose, GA; fiancee: Jessica O’Neal, Ambrose, GA; father & stepmother: Frank Griffin & Veardie Griffin, Ambrose, GA; mother & stepfather: Delga Cox Paulk &Wesley Paulk, brother: Franklin Lavay Griffin, Ambrose, GA; great grandmother: Willie Mae Cox; stepsisters: Lynn Gaskins, Axson, GA; Kristen Paulk, Ambrose, GA; stepbrothers: Lee Anderson, Axson, GA; Jae Paulk, Ambrose, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
