Vincent Grenon 66, of Bellevue Ave. died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane (Phaneuf) Grenon. Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Raymond Grenon and Yvette (Allard) Lemieux. He was a carpenter and member of the New England Regional Council of Carpenters Union Local #109 for twenty five years, retiring in 2004. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Vinny was a avid Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Vincent Grenon, Eric Grenon and his wife Nancy, Brian Grenon, and Jonathan Grenon, all of Woonsocket; a brother Lionel Lemieux and his wife Lynn of Woonsocket; two sisters Yvette Lambert and her husband Bruce of Coventry, Therese Holmes and her husband John of Chepachet; an aunt Claire Boivin of Woonsocket; three grandchildren, Vanessa, Tyler, and Zachary, and two great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrections Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 PM.
