Obituary

Theresa M. Dufault passed away peacefully at the age of 83, on May 18 in Worcester, Massachusetts. She was born in Leominster, MA in 1927 to Joseph and Josephine Melanson and attended Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA. Theresa was a retired homemaker, devoted military wife to M/Sgt. Donald J. Dufault (recently deceased), and wonderful mother to four children. Active in the blind community for over 40 years, she was dedicated to helping people through the NFB (National Federation of the Blind). She joyfully participated in singing, dancing, and bowling.

Theresa is survived by her daughter Donna "Davina" Dufault of Captain Cook, HI, her three sons, John Dufault of Dover, NH, Dean Dufault and his wife Marlene, of Worcester, MA, and Ronald Dufault of Albuquerque, NM, her three sisters: Florence Gaudette, Irene Letiecq, and Mary Dufault all of Worcester MA, and brother Emile Melanson also of Worcester, and four grandchildren.

The Memorial Service will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Worcester, on September 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM, with a burial service to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
