Greene, Rose M. (nee) DePhillips age 94 of Glen Rock formerly of Union City died Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Beloved wife of the late William G. Greene. Devoted mother of William Greene and his wife Carole, Rosemary Chiavetta and her husband Phillip, Charles Greene, and Mary Ellen Caputo and her husband Nick. Loving grandmother of Carole Marie, William, Patricia, Randi, Jay, Catherine, Amy, Myles, Rose Anna, Marie Elena, Nicholas, and Marissa. Loving great-grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Caroline, Buddy, Madeline, Alice, Theresa, Marie and Fred. Rose worked for the City of Union City for over 30 years, the last 21 as Tax Collector. She was also a dedicated parishioner of St. Catherine’s RC Church in Glen Rock. Funeral service Saturday 8:30AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck then to St. Catherine’s RC Church for a 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Ho-Ho-Kus. Family and friends are invited to visit Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
