Worcester – Edmond J. Laurence, 95, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, May 24th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a short illness.
His wife of 58 years Julia L. “Judy” (Hachey) Laurence died in 2005. He is survived by three sisters Claire Roy of Worcester, Aline Sviklas of Milford and Jeanne Richard of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Laurence was born in Worcester son of the late Joseph A. and Alexina (Grenier) Laurence.
Mr. Laurence worked as an office worker for Norman’s Truck Company and later worked the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Auburn Skating Rink.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 26th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 before the funeral in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main Street Worcester, MA 01603.
