Sadie "Sally" M. Doyle, 90, of Derry, NH, formerly of Manomet, MA, died Tuesday May 24, 2011 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. She was born in Watertown, MA on January 3, 1921, a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Gaffney) Norrish. During her life she enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, cross stitch and being a homemaker. She had also worked as a waitress for many years at Valley's Steakhouse. Sally enjoyed spending time at Christo's in Manomet with her great friends, with whom she also celebrated her 90th birthday at the Moose Club, in Manomet.
She is survived by two daughters; Doreen L. Doyle and Marie Doyle, both of Derry, a son and daughter -in- law; John J, Jr., & Elaine Doyle of Manomet, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Louisa Doyle, and son-in-law; Wayne Ellis, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; John J. Doyle in 2002, a son; Richard P. Doyle and a daughter; Sally Ann Ellis, and two brothers; William and Robert Norrish.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NH Chapter 1 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105 Bedford, NH 03110 or to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049. The Peabody funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry is handling the arrangements.
