BROWN, William Jay Jr., M.D. Of North Hill, Needham, formerly of Wellesley, May 23. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Rowe) Brown. Devoted father of Scott C. Brown and his wife Carol of Sharon, Christopher A. Brown and his fiancee Maria Lessig of Lighthouse Point, FL, Daniel C. Brown and his wife Claire of Natick. Loving grandfather of Laura, Matthew, Isabel, Celia and Hannah. Brother of the late David Howell Brown and Susan Clovis. Dr. Brown was a graduate of Cornell University Class of 1939 and the University of Iowa Medical School Class of 1943. He was on the staff of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Radiology Dept. for 30 years and also had his own practice in Wellesley. Later in life he authored a series of books to help educate adult illiterates. World War II Army Veteran. Memorial Service in the Burtt Chapel of the Wellesley Village Congregational Church, 2 Central St., Wellesley, Friday, May 27 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
