Margaret M. (Granonio) Brescia passed away at the Epoch of Melrose on May 22, 2011 after a short illness. She was 98 years old.
Born in Malden, Margaret was a life long resident of the Edgeworth section of Malden. She was a former member of the Sons of Italy, an avid bowler and enjoyed doing crafts.
Margaret was the devoted wife of the late John A. Brescia, her husband of 57 years. She was the beloved mother of Beverly Brescia of Malden and Maureen Indrisano and her husband Peter of Reading. Margaret was the cherished grandmother of Cara Indrisano and her husband Scott Ouellette of Methuen and the great-grandmother of Dean Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and predeceased by 1 brother and 3 sisters.
The funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, May 26th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 25th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
