Obituary

Helene E. Saumur 74, of Summer St. died peacefully Saturday at Milford Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Jean Paul B. Saumur Sr. Mrs. Saumur was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Edgar M. Bruneau and Alice S. (Monroe) St. Pierre. She was an inspector for the former Needlecraft Co. which became the Turfer Co. for twenty five years before retiring in 1995. Helene was an active member and volunteer at All Saints Parish taking part in the Linus Project, the Christmas Bazaar, and Feed My Sheep Kitchen. She was also a volunteer for Meals On Wheels.

She is survived by three children Jean Paul Saumur of Woonsocket, Ronald Saumur and his wife Nancy of Pascoag, and Dee Chasse and her husband John of Bellingham, a sister Jeannine Malo of Woonsocket and two granddaughters, Paige and Maddy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church Rathbun St. Woonsocket, family will receive guests at 9:30 AM. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations to, Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. S. W. Lilburn, GA 30047 or St. Jude Tribute Program, P O Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 in her memory would be appreciated.
