Gail Hyler Craig, age 51, of 902 Wentworth Street, Reidsville, NC, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Born July 27, 1959 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Terrance B. Hyler and Betty T. Hyler. Most of her life was spent in Danville and Rockingham County, North Carolina, and she worked as a typist for MB-F Inc. in Greensboro. She was married to James D. Craig, Jr., who survives. She was a Soldier of the Salvation Army.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son: Christopher James Craig and his wife Candace of Winston Salem, NC; one daughter: Kiztal Amber Vernon and her husband Jack of Danbury, NC; two sisters: Gloria Hyler Clark and her husband Ed of Danville, Penny Hyler Hill and her husband Todd of Alberta, VA; three grandchildren: Krystal Wilson, Tyler Vernon, and Eli Vernon; two nephews: Adam T. Clark and Patrick M. Hill.
Funeral services officiated by Captain Allen Tanner will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 7 until 8:30 p.m., and at other times at the residence of her sister, Gloria H. Clark, 761 Ridgecrest Drive, Danville.
