Steven A. Garnett, 50, of Osterville died Monday May 23, 2011 unexpectedly at Cape Cod Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Raymond E. and Lydia (McMullen) Garnett, he lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Cape Cod.
Mr. Garnett was formerly employed as an automobile and motorcycle mechanic.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and was a member of the H.O.G. Club of Wareham.
Survivors include his companion, Cindy Glines; two children, Stephanie A. Garnett of New Bedford and Steven A. Garnett II of Quantico, VA; a sister, Lynn E. Garnett of Dartmouth; and five grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Paul and Thomas Garnett.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
