Carole C. Doyon, 74, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday May 22, 2011 in the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, MA on August 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Hugh and Esther (Quinn) Scobie. A resident of Londonderry since 1968, she formerly lived in Scituate, MA. She had been employed as an executive secretary for the Londonderry Board of Selectmen. Mrs. Doyon had been a volunteer at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, Parkland Medical Center in Derry, and the Community Caregivers of Greater Derry. She enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband for 17 years. Mrs. Doyon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to Foxwoods, and shopping. She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church in Londonderry.
She is survived by five sons, John F. Kelly Jr. of Weare, NH, Paul J. Kelly of Derry, NH, Tom Doyon of Manchester, NH, Peter Doyon of Cary, NC, and Denis Doyon of Germany; two daughters, Colleen Menard of Sandown, NH, and Linda Guidaboni of Nashua, NH; eight grandchildren; one brother, George P. Scobie of East Greenwich, RI; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul A. Doyon who died May 3, 2011.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, May 25th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 in St. Marks Church, One South Road, Londonderry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association of NH, 20 Warren Street, Suite 4, Concord, NH 03301, or to the Community Caregivers of Greater Derry, 58 East Broadway, Derry, NH 03038.
