GLOUCESTER: Donald “Donnie” Sullivan, 27, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Born in Rochester, Michigan on May 23, 1983, he was the loving son of Taffy A. Sullivan of Gloucester and James Stubbs and his wife, Andrea of Sterling Heights, Michigan. He has resided in Gloucester since 1994. Donnie, affectionately known as “Superman” was employed as a cook at the DenMar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rockport for the past ten years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Natasha Stubbs; maternal grandparents, Pauline Bennett and Dale Parker; paternal grandparents, Sharon Stubbs and Ted and Marilyn Stubbs; his loving girlfriend, Carina Ioanis; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends from DenMar.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 4 - 7 p.m. There will be a celebration of Donnie’s life at the Elks at Bass Rocks, 101 Atlantic Road, Gloucester starting at 6:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
