Obituary

SALEM - Louise E. (Brown) Hanscom, 81, formerly of Salem, died Saturday evening, May 21, 2011 at the Twin Oaks Nursing Center in Danvers following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Hanscom.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alan F. and Beatrice M. (Hall) Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Salem until moving to the nursing home in 2008.

Prior to her retirement in 1991, Louise was employed for 37 years at Parker Bros. in Salem.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Salem.

Louise is survived by one brother, Richard Brown of Satsuma, FL, one sister, Dorothy Kehoe of Ossipee, NH and two generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Elizabeth Roberts.

A visitation will be held Wednesday morning, May 25, 2011 from11 am to Noon, followed by a service at Noon at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church, 392 Lafayette St., Salem, MA 01970.
