WORCESTER-Ernest J. Brien, 83, of Worcester, died Thursday, May 19th in the Golden Living Center. His wife of 50 years, Alma M. (Arpin) Brien, died in 1998. He leaves three sons, Ernest J. Brien, Jr. of Kentucky, Lawrence D. Brien and Daniel D. Brien, both of Worcester; three daughters, Susan C. Brien, Christine L. LaMarch and Debra L. Bonin, all of Worcester; a sister, Cecile Laverty of Florida; eighteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Brien was born in Worcester, the son of Albert and Elenor (Fournier) Brien. He was the owner of Brien Construction for many years. Mr. Brien was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed painting.
The funeral is Tuesday, May 24th with a service at 1:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, May 23rd from 5:00 until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from Noon until 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
