Pearl E. (McCollem) Lawson, 90 a resident of Weston, MA for 63 years died at her home on May 17, 2011. Wife for 66 years of the late Joseph T. Lawson.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey T. Lawson and his wife, Susan Scott of Weston, MA, her daughters: Lillian "Lee" Hanney and her husband, Roger K. of Framingham, MA; Joan C. Schimmell and her husband Mark K. of Wentzville, MO. Also, the mother of the late Nancy L. Lawson and her husband, the late Kevin Ridgeway.
Mrs. Lawson was grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Lianne H. Manzella of Framingham, MA; Sharon H. Derba of Franklin, MA; Roger K. Hanney, Jr. of Framingham, MA, Kristen L. Hanney of Framingham, MA; Gretchen K. Schimmell of Brentwood, MO; Hannah J. Scott-Lawson of Weston, MA and Phoebe R. Scott-Lawson of Weston, MA. In addition, she leaves four great -grandchildren; Kenneth and Allison Manzella of Framingham and Eric and Nicole Derba of Franklin.
She was the sister of the late Irene (McCollem) Osmond and her late husband Hector J. Osmond of Weston, MA.
Mrs. Lawson was born in Boston, MA. She was raised in Watertown and later lived in Waltham after marrying. During WW II she, along with her two oldest daughters, traveled to be with her husband and they briefly lived in; Lafayette, LA; Lincoln, NE; Casper, WY; Kansas City, KS and Houston, TX as he trained to become an Army Air Force Officer and navigator flying B-24s. They settled in Weston in 1948. She was an excellent baker and cook. She enjoyed family life, her yard, flower gardens, various pets (especially cats) and driving around in her car. She was a descendant of 9 passengers on the Mayflower.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Weston's Linwood Cemetery.
