Helen F. (Shay) Sullivan, 94, of Somerset, formerly of New Bedford and Fall River, died Tuesday January 27, 2004 at Somerset Ridge Center.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Henry and Annie (Hennessey) Shay, she had lived in Fall River for most of her life.
In 1985, she moved to New Bedford where she was a resident of the New Bedford Hotel apartments until moving to Somerset in 2000. She had also lived in California for 2 years.
She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Fall River and St. Lawrence Church in New Bedford.
Survivors include a son, Henry F. Sullivan of Fall River; a daughter, Helen F. Sullivan of Simi Valley, California; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 31, 2004 at 9 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Fall River. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Friday evening 7-9 PM.
