Obituary

Deborah N. (Woodbury) McKenna, 61, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, after an illness surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband, soul mate, and best friend of 46 years, Richard McKenna Sr.; a son Richard McKenna, Jr. of Worcester; two daughters Deanna and her husband Richard Cavalieri of Worcester and Brenda and her husband Jeff Willis of Florida; five grandchildren-Logan, Andrew, Sierra, Adriana, and Richie; three sisters Carol Andrews, Katherine Schletty and June Nuzzolilo; a God Son Arthur Sorenson; many nieces and nephews and many close friends. She was pre-deceased by a brother Louis G. Andrews.

Deborah was born in Worcester, daughter of Calvin L. and Caroline B. (Jarvis) Andrews Woodbury. She attended North High School and worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years at various nursing homes in Worcester and Florida. Debbie was the kindest soul on earth. She was always thoughtful, helpful, and eager to please everyone around her. She was a member and employed by St. Paul's Cathedral. She also taught CCD in FL. She enjoyed fall weather, apple orchards, butterflies, and spending time with family and friends. Spending time with her children and grandchildren were among her greatest pleasure in life.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Cathedral 15 Chatham Street Worcester, MA 01609. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
