TEWKSBURY - Mary Ellen "Nana" (Kilpatrick) Blier, age 64, the matriarch of a well known family of nine, died Friday morning, May 20, at Saints Medical in Lowell, after a lengthy illness, with her loving family at her bedside. She was the wife of Andrew C. Blier, with whom she had celebrated a 31st wedding anniversary this past August 19.
She was born in Boston, March 5, 1947, one of four children of the late Andrew and Edith (McCreedy) Kilpatrick, and raised in Tewksbury. She was a member of the T.M.H.S. Class of 1965.
She was former employee in the Quality Control Department at Analog Devices in Wilmington.
She will be remembered as having devoted her life to her family, and was especially thankful for the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by nine children, Margie Chartier and her husband Jim, Lenny Blier, and Susie Blier all of Lowell, Pammy Beaumont and her husband Scott of Kissimmee, FL, Frank Goodwin and his wife Debbie of Vero Beach, FL, Johnny Goodwin of Manchester, NH, Paula St. Louis and her husband David, and Danielle Blier all of Lowell, and Andy Blier and his wife Kelly of Northfield, NH; two sisters, Edith Johnston and her husband Warren of Dracut, Betty Valente and her husband Steve of Lowell; was grandmother of thirty grandchildren, and great grandmother of fifteen great grandchildren; sister of the late John Kilpatrick; and also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
