Laura A. (Dumont) Lawless, 90, of New Bedford died Wednesday May 18, 2011 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Lawless.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Fredette) Dumont, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life and had also lived in Florida for several years.
Mrs. Lawless was a graduate of Holy Family High School.
Survivors include three children, Maureen Boudreau and her husband Donald, and Stephen Lawless and his wife Theresa, all of New Bedford, and James Lawless and his wife Anne of Hudson, NH; a sister, Norma McKenna of New Bedford; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Louis Dumont and Estelle Bryant.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
