Obituary

Kenneth “Ken” R. MacDonald, 44, lifelong resident of Natick passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Born on July 19, 1966, Ken was the son of Bruce MacDonald of Natick and Carol (Bradford) Dignan and her husband Ernie of Edgewater, FL.

Ken was born and raised in Natick graduating from Natick High School class of ‘84. He worked at the Natick Labs as an engineering technician for over 25 years. He had a love for riding motorcycles and treasured his Harley and all his other vehicles. Ken was also an avid collector of Eagle memorabilia. He had many hobbies including riding, gambling and bowling. He was a frequent traveler and visitor to Florida to visit family and friends. Ken also loved to rescue animals and had many dogs from Buddy Dog throughout the years. He leaves behind his dog of the past few years, Mia.

Ken was a quiet kind soul but was also known for his very big heart. He was known as “Uncle Daddy” to his goddaughter/niece Michelle and was a father figure in her life for many years.

Besides his parents Ken is survived by his sisters Cheryl Bosselman and her fiancée Mike of Deltona, Fl., Cindie Pagano and her husband Joe of Framingham, Tricia Woodyard and her husband Tom of Deltona, Fl., his brother James MacDonald and his wife Christine of Natick, step sister Sandy Wild and her husband Jeff of Queensbury, NY. Nieces and nephews, Joe, Christina, Tom, Jeff, Holly, Michelle, James and Jake. 5 great nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He also leaves behind his beloved companion of many years Patricia Rutter.

Ken was loved by many and cherished by all.

Calling hours will be held on Friday May 27 from 4-8pm at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. Natick. A funeral service will be held for family and friends on Saturday May 28 at 12pm in the funeral home’s chapel. A celebration and remembrance of Ken’s life will be held following the funeral service at 2pm at the Framingham Eagles on Park St.
