Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Mae Bottoms Dunmon, age 80, widow of the late Lonnie Ray Dunmon, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on November 7, 1930 in Surry County to the late Roscoe Roy and Lula Evelyn Inman Bottoms. Mrs. Dunmon was a Lunch Counter for Hayes Drug, a farmer and was a member of Brim’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Dunmon is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Randy (Kathy) Dunmon and Barry (Tina) Dunmon, all of Pilot Mountain; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tamela Lawson of Pilot Mountain, Brenda Lawson of Carolina Beach and Vicky (David) Lawson of Pilot Mountain; six grandchildren, Ryan Dunmon, Alley Dunmon, Andrew Dunmon, Will Dunmon, Jeff Gravite and Chris Lawson; two great grandchildren, Trent Lawson and Blake Lawson; one step-grandchild, Jason Kiger; one step great-grandchild, Logan Kiger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Dunmon; parents; and one brother, R.B. Bottoms. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Brim’s Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Gerald Jones; Bro. Don Collins and the Rev. Chris McMillion officiating with interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brim’s Grove Baptist Church,1502 Brim’s Grove Church Road, Pinnacle, NC 27043.
