Obituary

Palm Coast, FL.– Gerald R. Lacourse, 78, died May 14, 2011 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester in August 29,1932 the son of Robert and Cecile Lacourse. He was raised in Auburn before moving to Rockledge, FL. 19 years ago.
He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School.
He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was a business owner and retired from CCR Data Systems Corp. in Concord for 25 years.
He served as Selectman for the town of Auburn from 1971 until 1983. He held membership in the Knights of Columbus in Rockledge FL., and was a member of the Pastoral Council for his church.
He was a Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister for St. Peter Church in Auburn for many years prior to moving to Florida.
He belonged to the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post #2 in Manchester.
He enjoyed fishing and boating at his summer home in Center Ossipee, NH.
Family members include his wife of 54 years, June (Cullen) Lacourse of Palm Coast, FL., 3 sons, Michael Lacourse of CA., Daniel Lacourse, Steve Lacourse, both of Palm Coast, FL., and 1 daughter, Carol Chevrette of St. Augustine, FL., several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 brother, Paul J. Lacourse of Bedford.
Services: There are no calling hours.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Peter Church, Auburn.
Burial will follow in Longmeadow Cemetery, Auburn.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
