ROCHDALE-Theresa M. (Kevorkain) Grammatic, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17th after a long battle with cancer in Rose Monahan Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her loving husband of 49 years, Ronald C. Grammatic, Sr.; two sons, Ronald C. Grammatic, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Spencer, Richard J. Grammatic and his wife, Marlise of Rochdale and her granddaughters, Sabrina and Nakita Grammatic; a daughter, Charlene Grammatic of Leicester; a brother, Edward Kevorkian and his wife, Bev of Minnesota; two sisters, Esther Gilroy of Rochdale and Rose Morris of North Carolina; best friends, Joseph and Yvonne Coyne of North Carolina and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Fletcher.
Theresa was born in Clinton, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Votour) Kevorkian and lived there until moving to Rochdale in1962 making it her home for 47 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church and graduated from the former Commerce High School. Theresa was president of the Leicester PTSA in the 1970s, a Board Member of Oxford youth hockey in the 1980s, a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader in the 1980s and 90s and a member of the mother’s youth hockey league in Auburn in 1970s and 80s. Theresa worked at Stop n Shop for 25 years and retired in 2006. She enjoyed spending time with her children and beautiful granddaughters. She enjoyed attending the numerous activities of her grandchildren and traveling especially to North Carolina to visit close family and friends.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 25th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
