...Navy Veteran formerly of Tewksbury; 62
HAVERHILL, MA - Robert W. "Bubba" Mann, age 62, died peacefully at home, Sunday night, May 15, following a brief battle with Kidney cancer.
He was born in Everett, November 11, 1948, one of four children of Robert F. and Marie (Sutton) Mann, and was raised in Tewksbury. He was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School.
Upon graduation, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy, and was honorably discharged in 1971.
When his health permitted, he worked as a painting contractor throughout the Merrimack Valley.
He was a former member of St. William's Parish in Tewksbury, and a former member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 2070.
He is survived by two sisters, Carol M. "Auntie" Mann of Franklin, NH and Patricia A. "Pudgy" Brothers of Tewksbury, a niece, a nephew, and a grand niece; and a best friend and painting partner, John Sheehan of Tewksbury.
He was also brother of the late Richard P. "Dee" Mann.
Following his cremation, relatives and friends were received Saturday, May 21, in the funeral home, followed by a Memorial Prayer Service in the funeral home. Burial with Navy Honors was held in Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Friends of the Elderly, c/o Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
