WORCESTER___Wanda H. (Wasiak) Buyniski, 95, of Worcester, died Friday, May 13, 2011 in the Christopher House. Her husband, Julius M. Buyniski died in 1999.
She leaves three sons, Joseph Buyniski and his wife, Sofie of Colchester, Ct., Richard Buyniski and his wife Diane and Robert Buyniski and his wife Patricia, all of Worcester; a sister, Dolores Olsen of Florida; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Buyniski and a brother, Henry Wasiak. She was born in Detroit, MI., daughter of Szymon and Gladyslawa (Olzewska) Wasiak.
Mrs. Buyniski worked as a bookkeeper for Heywood Boot & Shoe Co., for many years before becoming a homemaker. Wanda was a graduate of Commerce High School and was a member of Christ The King Church. Wanda was an avid reader and loved to cook for her family.
Wanda’s family extends their sincere thanks to the entire staffs on both Christopher Heights and Christopher House for their compassionate care and kindness and to UMass Memorial Hospice for their commitment and attention to Wanda.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 17 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Christ The King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, May 16 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
