John Paul Luddy, aged 93, of Mystic, Connecticut, died at his home at Academy Point on May 10.
He was born in Haverhill MA to John and Margaret Luddy. In 1943 he married Rita Fitzgerald. After her death in 2007, he moved to Mystic.
He attended St. James School in Haverhill, Boston College and Boston University. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and for 20 years as an attorney. After retirement, he had a private practice as a probate attorney in San Diego, CA.
He is survived by his dauther, Ellen and her husband Richard S. Carey, his dear friend Martha Thomas, an extended loving family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and hephews and his many friends.
His family will gather for a private service in Haverhill, MA.
