Mrs. Doris A. (Cayer) Bedard, a resident of Lawrence and beloved wife of 50 years of the late Philip Bedard, died on Sunday, May 8, 2011. She was 81 years old.
Born in Lawrence on September 13, 1929, she was the beloved daughter of the late Philiberty and Yvonne (Houde) Cayer. Mrs. Bedard was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence for many years and had worked as a waitress at Morins in Lawrence for over 40 years.
Doris was the loving mother of Joyce and her husband, Chip Will of Andover and was the cherished grandmother of Kelly, whom she adored greatly. She was also the devoted sister of Rachel Berube of Hopkington, Lucille Keegan of Methuen, Jean Paul Cayer of Ipswich, Henry Cayer of Bristol, Rhode Island, Donald Cayer of Groveland and the late Richard Cayer.
The entire family would like to sincerely thank Merrimack Valley Hospice in Lawrence for the amazing job did caring for Doris in her final months. Funeral services will be private.
