Mrs. Margaret M. “Peggy” Gilleo, age 58 of Medford died Monday at home surrounded by loving family. She is the wife of Daniel Gilleo with whom she shared more than 36 years of marriage. Born in Stoneham, daughter of Margaret (Darcy) of Medford and the late Paul Rosie, she was a lifelong resident of Medford. She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s Grammar School and Arlington Catholic High School. She is a graduate of Salem State College where she her degree in Education.
She was a teacher in the Medford School System. She began teaching at the Columbus School later in the former Franklin School. More recently in the Roberts School. She loved to travel, cook and listen to music. She was an avid sports fan and was particularly fond of The New England Patriots. The most important thing in her life was her family. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter: Darcy Gilleo of Gloucester and a son Daniel Gilleo and his wife Sarah of Nashua, NH. Grandmother of Brayden Gilleo She is the beloved sister of Maura Rosie of OR, Kathy Rosie of Medford, Betty Chambler and her husband Bill of Natick, Paul Rosie and his wife Susan of Arlington, Bob Rosie and his wife Carol of Seabrook, NH, Neil Rosie and his wife Karla of Melrose. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Saturday at 8:00 am. Funeral Hass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 3-7 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
