BROOKFIELD; Mrs. Dolores L. (Lawlor) Gammell 88 of 2 Nanatomqua Dr., died Saturday Jan. 24 at The Meadows of Leicester. She was the wife of Albert Gammell who died in 1981. Her first husband Milton Alexander died in 1959. She leaves two daughters, Patricia D. Demore of Zellwood, Fl., and Sarah A. Moulton of Brookfield with whom she lived, 5 grand, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A daughter Susan J. Alexander and two sisters Muriel Prouty and Regina Coffey-Nykiel all predeceased her. Mrs. Gammell was a longtime registered nurse at the former Worcester State Hospital and later owned and operated the former Alexander's Cafe in Leicester for 15 years, retiring in 1980. She graduated from N.Brookfield High and was one of the graduates of the first class of St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester. Born in Montague, she was the daughter of Michael and Mira (Cheney) Lawlor. Privated services will be held in the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME,1131 Main St.,Leicester. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to a charity.
